Title: Detective Work Translates
1) Why did I decide to spend my roaring mid-twenties obtaining a PhD?
2) How did I approach the PhD?
3) What factors led to me deciding to enter industry?
4) What skills transfer between a Ph.D. and Industry?
Bio: Ohi (Remen) Dibua is a Nigerian immigrant, who spent most of his formative years in Baltimore and Pittsburgh, before moving to the west coast for graduate school. He recently received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford, and is currently working as a Software Engineer in a Medical Imaging and Machine Learning Start-up. In his free time, Ohi enjoys partaking in the arts, playing tennis, and, more recently, learning the sweet science of hand throwing.
