UCSB's California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) has joined a specialized group of scientists and other schools in the nation with organizing the efforts of 3D-printed face shields for local health care professionals.
David Bothman, manager of CNSI's Microfluidics Lab and the Innovation Workshop, is spearheading this effort with prototyping three different designs.
